An All-New School Life RPG: VARLET
Scheduled for release on August 28, 2025
—the same day as the Japanese version!

　Clouded Leopard Entertainment Inc. (CEO: Yuen-Yuen Chen; hereinafter referred to as CLE) is pleased to announce that the Nintendo Switch™ and PlayStation®5 title VARLET, developed by FURYU  Corporation (President and CEO: Takashi Mishima; hereinafter referred to as FURYU), will be released across the Asian region on Thursday, August 28, 2025—the same day as the Japanese launch.

　In addition to the base game, CLE will also release a Limited Edition package titled the “Limited BOX.” This special edition includes a Creative Art Book featuring not only in-game visuals but also rough design sketches, a Special Album CD (Character Vocal Side) with character theme songs, a Special Album CD (Original Soundtrack Side) containing 40 tracks from the game’s background music, and a Premium Canvas Board featuring newly illustrated artwork. Also included are a Protagonist Uniform Set DLC Card, which allows players to change the main character’s outfit to styles inspired by Monark and Caligula2, and a set of Original Stickers featuring various in-game icons—all housed in an Exclusive Illustrated Box.

■ About VARLET

This isn’t a story about finding someone else—it’s about finding yourself.
This is a school life RPG where you search for the version of yourself you never knew, through encounters with boys and girls who wrestle with their identities and grow from the struggle.
The protagonist transfers to Kousei Academy, where they uncover the existence of Glitches—alternate realms inhabited by monsters—and the shocking truth that many humans have already been replaced by these creatures. In order to save a school on the brink of collapse, the protagonist must join forces with newfound allies and fight back.
The game system centers around the theme of discovering your own youth. Players can enjoy everyday student life by giving advice to classmates or going out after school with companions who catch their interest. Battles feature a fast-paced and intuitive Timeline Command Battle system. Players can choose between two combat styles: Leader, who supports teammates in battle, and Ruler, who overwhelms enemies with powerful skills.

■Story

After transferring to Kousei Academy, the protagonist begins hearing rumors about a strange urban legend:

　　　A mysterious realm full of monsters
　　　has appeared within the school…
　　　And anyone who wanders in
　　　is never seen again.

Before long, the protagonist encounters this otherworldly space—known as the Glitch—and discovers a terrifying truth: the monsters have been swapping places with real people.

With the academy on the verge of collapse, it’s up to you and your allies to fight back and uncover the truth behind the Glitch…

Either as a “leader” that guides others forward, or as a “ruler” who believes might makes right.

A second-year transfer student enrolled in the Gen Ed course, he is persuaded by his cousin to become the alternate president of the Student Support Services soon after arriving.

●SSS (Student Support Services) Members
An unofficial school guild dedicated to solving student troubles.
Known as an informal club, the guild tirelessly roams the campus each day to help resolve student requests and concerns. As the story progresses, students with unique circumstances gradually join the group.

・Enjoy your own personal school-life experience—your very own youth
The protagonist unexpectedly ends up acting as the interim leader of the SSS (Student Support Services), a group that listens to students’ worries and offers help.
Players can take on various consultations, and after school, invite favorite characters to spend time together. You can also stop by places like karaoke or the arcade for some fun detours.

・Timeline Command Battles: Become who you want to be
Engage in fast, simple, and satisfying timeline command battles.
Monitor the action order on the timeline to interrupt or cancel enemy attacks and unleash combos.
Choose between two battle styles: Leader, who enhances allies with buffs while supporting from the front lines, and Ruler, who uses powerful, high-risk skills that even damage themselves to overpower enemies.
As the story progresses, players will unlock the ability to switch between these distinct combat roles.

・Triad Parameters: Discover who you really are
Choices made throughout the story and actions taken around the school influence your character’s personality, tracked through a unique parameter system.
There are six total parameters, split between Light and Dark attributes.
These values affect the game by unlocking new dialogue options and powering up certain battle skills.
